Our Story
Junk Nation Removal is owned and run by Alex Havener and his brother Ian, and it was built on honesty, integrity, and hard work. Alex spent years in the junk removal industry before starting the company, working every position from truck team member to leadership at a large national company. That job let him see how junk removal is run in market after market, the good and the bad, and gave him a complete understanding of what it takes to run jobs safely, efficiently, and professionally, while always putting the customer first.
Ian brings the other half: a military background and the finance side of the business. Between the two of them, that means operational and logistics leadership in high-responsibility environments, and that level of discipline and organization carries into everything we do — from scheduling and communication to how every job is completed. We believe customers deserve a service that runs smoothly, shows up on time, and does exactly what it promises.
After years in the industry, we saw a clear need for a better option here in the Tampa Bay area. Too often, companies were cutting corners, acting unprofessionally, or failing to treat customers with the respect they deserved. That never sat right with us. We knew our community deserved a junk removal service that was reliable, honest, and genuinely cared about doing the job the right way.
That is why Junk Nation Removal was started. Alex formed the company in November 2025, and the goal was simple: take the knowledge and experience gained over the years and build a company that holds itself to a higher standard every single day. A company that values professionalism, clear communication, fair pricing, and a strong work ethic.
We are a young company, and we won't pretend otherwise. What stands behind the name is years of experience in this industry and the Google reviews our customers have left since day one.

How We Work
Our office team says the same thing on every call: all items vary on size, weight, condition, and accessibility. The same couch can be a 20-minute job by the garage door or a two-hour job on the fourth floor. Some companies quote a low range by phone and raise it once the truck is in the driveway. We refuse to work that way. We come out, give you a firm price for free, and that is the price you pay. Here is the longer explanation, using a couch as the example.
Most junk removal is urgent: a furniture delivery date, a move-out, a closing. When a request comes in, someone from our office calls you back to get you on the schedule. We book two-hour arrival windows, and the crew calls about 30 minutes before they get there.
We don't buy or haul away vehicles, rent dumpsters, take drop-offs, or do free pickups. We sort what we remove for donation, recycling, and proper disposal where practical, but not everything can be donated, and we will be straight with you about that. A Clearer Online Starting Point
In May 2026, Junk Nation Removal launched its current website in partnership with Lawn & Land Marketing to give Tampa Bay residents a clearer starting point for junk removal and cleanout needs. Visitors can distinguish services such as appliance and hot tub removal from home, estate, hoarder, senior-downsizing, and storage-unit cleanouts before deciding what fits their situation.
The site also brings service-area information and the estimate path into the same experience, helping people in Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, and surrounding communities move from an unwanted-item problem to a relevant next step. That organization supports the company's emphasis on clear communication by helping visitors begin the first conversation with a better sense of which service fits their situation.
