Matt Jetton's Sun State Homes began building near Lake Carroll in 1959, and more than 900 homes went up by 1970. Carrollwood Village followed in the early 1970s, and building spread west through the 1970s and 1980s.

Estates and Downsizing
We sort as we load. Items in good condition are set aside for donation where a local center will accept them, and the rest goes to recycling or proper disposal where practical. Donation centers set their own standards, so we cannot promise any particular piece will be taken.
Family members do not have to fly in for the appointment. Someone else can meet the crew, or we can coordinate by phone, as long as the crew can get to the items. Every crew takes before and after photos for the job file, and we can share them for estate or insurance paperwork.
If you would like to haul some of it yourself, the County's Northwest County Solid Waste Facility at 8001 W. Linebaugh Avenue accepts bulky waste from County solid waste customers who unload it by hand.
