River to Manatee Avenue
West Bradenton is an unincorporated area and census-designated place in Manatee County. It is bordered by the Manatee River to the north, the City of Bradenton to the east, Manatee Avenue (State Road 64) to the south, and the Palma Sola community to the west. Its roots go back to the Village of Palma Sola, platted in 1886, and by the 1920s the name West Bradenton covered land both inside and just outside Bradenton’s western city limits.
That history still matters for trash service. Some addresses people call West Bradenton are inside the city, and others are in unincorporated Manatee County, and the bulk pickup rules differ. Our crew works the same way on both sides.
Which Rules Apply
Inside Bradenton city limits: bulk items are collected by request. You call the city to schedule, pay a per-item fee on the utility bill, and must call within 48 hours of setting items out or risk an illegal dumping fee.
In unincorporated Manatee County: the county’s bulk collection pilot (May 1, 2026 through April 30, 2027) lets residential customers set out up to two bulk items once a month on their service day. Appliances and tires must be scheduled, and each property gets one annual collection of up to 10 cubic yards of the same material.
Either way, you are the one moving everything to the curb. When there is more than a couple of pieces, or the items are inside or upstairs, a crew is usually the simpler route.

No. There is no mileage surcharge. Disposal fees can vary by county, and the crew reviews any that apply before starting.
Most jobs finish in one visit. Occasionally a large one takes more than a day, and if so the crew tells you before starting and sets a schedule with you.
